Home Again, Home Again

Shopping Day #2

I am HOME after a fabulous two days in Edmonton with Jerilee! I have been home for a little while already, but catching up with my husband and showing him what I spent his money on came before you guys. Its ok, you’re all sleeping anyway.

After Friday at the mall, we were a tiny bit bummed. We found so little of what we came for. Originally, the plan had been to just pull a day trip and do the mall. If that had been our decision, I think we both would have left super disappointed. Luckily, we opted to stay overnight and do Ikea and all the box stores in South Common on Saturday. We did SO much better!! We both found some cute tops for winter, some shoes, cute clothes for my kids, wicked cool shoes for Dekker, and fun stuff from Ikea after we were rescued from the elevator, that is. We got Starbucks a couple of times, which helped in the freezing cold. I know, I know, we all know its cold out. I’m not going to go on and on about it.

Around 4:30, we opted for an early supper at Boston Pizza before heading home. We knew we would lose an hour, and we hadn’t eaten lunch, so it was the perfect time to grab a bite, take our time, and get home before midnight. BPs was yummy, as usual. Unfortunately, we were sat next to a glass door that lead to the outdoor patio, and it was super drafty, so we froze while we ate, but life went on.

Jerilee had magically located the mixes we made for our road trip we took in high school, so we rocked our drive home to those, as well as some old FM Static, and then random embarrassing music that is cough currently cough on my phone. It was hilarious, and my throat hurts from all the obnoxious singing we did.

This should be an annual thing. At least. Plus, I was thrilled to come home to two sleeping, bathed, children, a freshly painted entrance storage bench, and a husband who says he missed me. Life is good. I hope you all had even half the weekend I did!

Hopefully a haul post tomorrow?? I don’t know if you guys want to see it all, but I sort of want to take pictures of all of it…
