Behold. A photo play by play of yesterdays excursion to Kinasao!
It felt SO good to be back 💜 Even when nothing is green yet, and you can see through the trees to everyone’s campsite, it is still SO cozy and homey somehow.

The first order of the day was to get the FreeWheel clamped to his chair. Camp was the main reason for buying that attachment, and it turned out to be an AMAZING purchase!!! No regrets whatsoever!

Then I took down the deck supports so I could walk without almost cranking my head every five seconds. We forgot a ladder, lol!

Not pictured was us working with the new campground maintenance guy to get our slide out. Last year, our slide busted a little, and it wouldn’t come all the way out. Braden built us a bracket to supper the hydraulic system to try to help us get it back in at the end of the season, but sadly it didn’t survive the winter. Now, the slide wouldn’t come out enough to even open our fridge :/ So we troubleshooted… 🤔 troubleshot… 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t know. We spitballed with the maintenance guy and tried a few things, but finally, we cut the bolt off, and decided the slide would just stay out. We pulled it as out as it could go with the tractor and called it a day.
Time for lunch!

We drove into town and hit up the asian restaurant. The fire ban was a bit disappointing, but the company could not be beat 🥰

It still felt like camp should feel 💜

The next job felt the most daunting to me. We had to get the golf cart going. Thats never been my job, and its never gone smoothly. There is always some reason that it won’t start, often requiring a quick trip back to PA, and it ends with lots of pinched fingers and scratches. Our golf cart uses six 8v batteries, each of which weighs about 80 lbs, that need to be removed at the end of every season, and reinstalled at the beginning of the next. I was quite nervous that I wouldn’t actually be able to pull the job off, but lo and behold, we got it done.
AND! The true victory here is that Brady could get in!!! 😭 We were actually quite concerned that he wasn’t going to be able to get into the golf cart this year, really limiting where he could be. But with the help of a slide board, as well as the fact that the “armrest” type bar on the drivers side is only half the width of the seat, he could get his way in there much easier than anticipated!!

So naturally, we slapped the hand controls on and took a spin down to the lake.

We sat down by the water and prayed over the upcoming season. Lord, protect us. Let our family make so many beautiful memories in this incredible spot you have given us. We could not be more grateful for this second home you have given us.

We went back up to the campsite and unloaded our first load of stuff. There was still more to do, but we had done so very much that we were ready to call it a day at that point.
Plus. We get to go back 💜

Brady and I will drive up again tomorrow. I know. We are SO lucky!!! Tomorrow we get to accomplish another big thing out there, and I plan to clean like there’s no tomorrow, and get the whole space ready for everyone to come up!
Except, let’s be real. If there was no tomorrow, I would not be cleaning 😅 Maybe I’ll rethink this plan…
