Usually We’re Welcoming…

We love our people. We love having guests. We LOVE opening our door to our friends and loved ones!

Except not today πŸ˜…

Yup. That sucker is frozen solid! The bolt, and the latch. Both. CLOSED!

But it worked out because a few of us are sickies and more are on their way, unfortunately πŸ˜•

Our restful days are still quite busy, just considering our numbers and needs, but we had a restful day according to us, anyway. The kids kicked it off by getting up and reading in the living room while Brady and I slept in.

Brady feels SO sick today, and I barely slept last night, so it was a slow start and a very slow morning as a whole. There were fried eggs involved. Special eggs. Cher’s Uncle Dave’s eggs. For a treat πŸ’œ

I napped Munchie Mix in the pantry so I could lay in bed during nap time, lol! I crocheted a little, watched some mindless YouTube that I didn’t really pay attention to, and swept mines like all get out. You’re welcome.

Eventually I surfaced and got into making supper. Potato bacon soup. I think I’ve talked about it on here before but its the best, easiest recipe I’ve ever used and even I can’t mess it up, which counts for a lot! Laela helped me prep and cook. Here is a picture of our sorry tired selves. Only one of us has bacon on our forehead though.

I have yet to eat our supper but I feel like I can confidently say it will be delicious. And tomorrow, when I warm up the leftovers, they will become a bowl of mashed potatoes, which I am also not mad at.

We will not make it to church tomorrow. Too sick. Also tired. Also our door is frozen.

Ok but actually just too sick πŸ˜… We’ll miss our morning at church πŸ’œ But there’s always next Sunday!!
