We had a meeting with our pastor this morning to make arrangements for Brady’s funeral service. I can’t believe I’m even saying those words but here we are. He even brought me a homemade cappuccino. Felt pretty special.

I spent a bit of time this afternoon with a friend who came for a bit of a visit while dropping off our little foster bestie 💜 Iced coffee and timbits also were in attendance. 😋 A few of the kids, however, were not. A few of them went to a school wide movie, just to see how it felt. And Dekker left for the weekend. Reintegration, I suppose.
As the evening approached, my mom and I reheated some leftovers so everyone could have something they liked. Leftover feels are a lot of work with so many kids, though, wow! We were down a few for supper but it still felt like a lot hahah! And no one could really eat at the same time. But thats ok. It worked and was simple.
And now, as we pass bedtime and get into the quieter hours around here, I have beautiful worship music going, sent to me by a friend. Who knew I needed this exact spontaneous playlist today? Not I. But God did 💜 Thank you Lord for sending the right things and people at the right time.
Meanwhile, all day long, our gofundme grows and offers of help and support surround our family. How can anyone possibly ask for more?? We are SO well loved and cared for. I can’t put into words how much I wish Brady was with us to see and experience this surrounding, abounding love. But, if he were here, he couldn’t be in Heaven. So. Heaven wins. Every. Single. Time.
Please hear and understand my thanks. There is no way to word it. Or maybe there is, and I just can’t quite find the words quite yet as my brain and heart swirl with other things. Please hear my heart. I thank you all.
