Photo Dump to Kick off the School Year 2026

Some things are getting missed in these first couple weeks of school, so here is a brief dump of all the photos that didn’t make it into a post but should have, in no particular order.

The other day, when the kids needed a brain break, we ate popcorn, drank ghost face fanta, and watched Mrs. Doubtfire. It. Was. AWESOME.

Wavy saved a worm off the driveway the other day.

That same day, we were gifted a zucchini that was about as big as she is 😳

Laela came home with a story about how her friends all have dainty pointed fingers and one of the kids commented on her “sausage fingers.” Her response was “I take after my mom and dads hands, and I like that!” Leave my girl alone!

Dekker is SO darn handsome. And HAPPY with youth starting back up!

As we transferred Brady to our room for an afternoon snooze yesterday, he got a call from one of his doctors. I had to document it because he looked all cute, tucked in his little hammock, taking his important phone calls 😍

This is how my photo library looks as of late. The kids take my phone and take an excessive amount of pictures of their lego. Weirdos.

I had to run in to Saskatoon for 7am today, and I grabbed coffee for Brady, Cher, and I. Somehow I feel like our morning javas don’t fit the stereotypical vibe of morning coffee. Also, I’m a bad Harry Potter person because all I see on those cups are reindeer 🤷‍♀️

And probably my favorite one in this photo dump – Wavy listening to Rowan’s heartbeat before bed. He commented on hers after he hugged her goodnight, and she eagerly moved in to listen to his. They stood like this for a little while and just stayed close. If only they knew how GOOD that was for them, they probably wouldn’t have let it linger 🤣 I won’t tell them.

Thats it for now. Today was YUGE, and I feel quite exhausted both physically and mentally. Time to snuggle up beside Brady in bed and crochet until Laela gets home from youth 💜 Praise You, Lord, for ALL the beautiful things You have done for us and given us! We have it SO GOOD.
