Yesterday, I rearranged the whole evening so I could be at my computer when registration opened for Youth Edge, a weekend retreat that high school aged kids can attend at Millar College of the Bible. Dekker was itching to go, and he had a friend from camp who was really welcoming and really wanted him to come. Registration felt super daunting, because I was warned it tended to fill within half an hour of it opening.
But we did it! 🥳 I sat at the table while everyone ate supper, and hit refresh until registration officially opened. I had Dekker’s health number and my credit card in hand, and I was all geared up. And THANK GOODNESS we got him in!! He was so amped!
And while I love to tease him in these moments, I also TOTALLY get his excitement because I lived for youth retreats at his age! And now he is, too. And I love that 💜
Still a bit of a wait for it to come, but Dekker is relieved and also already buzzing about getting to go!!
