Lately, Solly has become our kid who really lays into his prayers. It is honestly the best thing. I say from time to time that Sol lives in the clouds. Maybe he gets a little higher up there than I thought because recently, all of his prayers are about Heaven.
“And Lord, when we all get to Heaven, we’ll introduce ourselves, and then we’ll have a party. And then we’ll go to sleep, and have a thousand more parties.”
These prayers can go on for a good while, grandma Jeanne style, but I’m absolutely here for it. I love that he’s thinking about Heaven and salvation and how great its all going to be.
Yesterday, he hit the nail on the head and I keep thinking back to it. He stammered a bit over his words and landed on this.
“God, we just need….. we need…… we need what You have.”
AMEN, Solomon. Amen. That is exactly what we need. What else do we possibly have to hold on to besides what God is holding??
