It has been a LONG time since I went to the city for something other than radiation. But today was that day. There was SO much on the books for today. I had to really call in all the troops. I had social workers coming to pick up and bring back a kid. I had someone else going to radiation with Brady. And I was running a different kid in for a different visit. During that visit, I was going to run to pick up some shampoo from my hair girl, and some med supplies for Brady. And once that visit was over, I was going to drop that kid off somewhere else for the weekend. And THEN I was going to run to Warman for one more pickup/chat with friends.
And I just. Couldn’t. Do. It. All.
There were some disappointments. Some relief. Some deep breaths. Some really peaceful conversations.
One visit was cancelled.
One was not cancelled, though it fell through in part. Not a total loss.
I made it to UROmed for medical supplies.
And to La Loop for pink shampoo to try to stretch my color a little bit longer. Did you guys know I got my hair cut?
I dropped off my babe for the weekend and had a REALLY nice chat there before I left.
I grabbed an iced coffee and drove home. Made a few phone calls. My Warman stop will have to wait for another day 💜
It was a nice day. A FULL day. But a nice one. I haven’t even touched on the work I did this morning! FULL day. I am SO grateful for our team of people who consistently put into us and help us when things are super busy. A healthy reminder that just because you can make it work, sometimes its still ok to ask for help (or accept the help that is forcibly thrust upon you 😅) You don’t have to wait until your desperate and sick to have help. Today was SO much nicer for everyone thanks to the love and support of the grandmas and grandpa!
