Halloween 2012

We took Dekker trick or treating yesterday for the first time ever! No, we didn’t actually cover the town or anything, we just went to a few houses to show him off to our friends. At first, he didn’t like wearing his costume…

But then he warmed up with a few more cuddles. We took him to four or five houses only, but that was enough. He even got a special treat bag from grandma and grandpa, lucky boy! If you haven’t been able to figure it out yet, Deks was a lion for Halloween. And the cutest lion ever! I loved the costume because the lion had very kind eyes. However, being that it was almost too small on him, you can barely see the eyes! Therefore, the best part of the costume to me is the tiny face hole. My son has an enormous face, and his chubby cheeks just make it so much better!

I’m pretty sure Dekkers favorite part of the evening was after trick or treating. Playing toys. Playing toys always wins.Look at the mane on that thing! You can see here that the legs are a little short though… Whatever, we don’t expect him to wear it again anyway, haha!BIG sigh of relief when this happened. Deks put his head into his toy basket and it pulled his hood off. He came out smiling. He was probably cooking in there, but I couldn’t resist leaving him in it for just a little longer. There’s a price to pay for being so cute, right? Well, there should be anyway.

All in all, it was a really good Halloween. We had such a great time hauling him from house to house, seeing his friends and crunching their chip bags. Just wait until he figured out what’s inside!!!
