Cut is chosen! Part 2…

After all HUGE amount of feedback yesterday, here on the blog as well as on Facebook, I chose the haircut that seemed to be the crowd favorite.

2011 Summer TCA Tour - Day 12No question in my mind. However, color is still up in the air. I know I want to throw blonde in there, but how much is the question. My ideal?

I really want to play with platinum blonde, but I don’t know if now is the time. I like to try things in a kind of extreme way, but I KNOW I would be attacked by roots really fast! So, we look at our other options.

color 1
Option #1: This is a favorite for sure, but I’m pretty confident her hair started a lot lighter than mine. I need my base color to stay the same. Otherwise growing it out will be sooo ugly!
Option #2: Pretty similar to the first option, but she has some darker bits that lead me to believe her hair was darker to begin with. Right??

Option #3: Definitely the darkest, most subtle, and easiest to grow out. However, its the least springy. I want bright and light!

I know, you guys are gonna lose interest in this kind of stuff pretty quick, so I’ll stop after this. But I need this help from people who actually go to hair appointments on a somewhat regular basis and know things about what might look nice. I promise, once I get some answers here, I’ll make a decision and hopefully get it all done next week before Friday. Brady and I are going to a concert that I’ve been pumped about the last few months. I want to feel fresh. And pretty. And rockin’!!

yes first to reply. I like the last color option if you are going for convenience. I went darker from being light and I find I have to get something done to it a while lot me and it is kinda annoying. going back to blonde next time. but if you don’t care about toys then I like the third option

I love the first one!!!! I think it looks the best. I think the second one has too many big chunks and the third is too dark

Okay, so your “ideal” colour has the effect I was talking about yesterday, just in reverse. Instead of being all white blonde with a few shocks of dark brown it would be a lighter colour with a few shocks of light blonde. Anyways, if you want to do it, then do it. Even if you only do it once, at least you tried it. Also, be cognizant of the colour of your eyebrows. Again, coming from experience, really dark eyebrows will stand out more if you have really light hair. I have no idea what colour your eyebrows are, and the haircut itself would actually keep the contrast in check a bit because of the fringe over the front of the face. Just more things to think about… Am I helping, or confusing?
