Does having two crock pots going at once make me a hero?

I think so. A few times, I’ve had multiple crock pots cooking in my kitchen, and it makes me feel like I’ve got things together. I don’t actually claim to, but it is nice to feel that way once in a while, even if it’s made up.

Today is a quadruple batch of honey chicken. I’m making the main dish for our small group that meets every week, and since honey chicken is really my only recipe that I’m confident in, that will be that! At least it’s delicious! And is cooked through relatively quickly. I didn’t realize how fast my day is getting away on me!

We have to be out the door relatively soon. We still need to shower up and beautify, finish up the chicken, pack Dekker stuff for the evening and feed him, and as I’m writing this, Brady is washing our mountain of dishes in safe, boiled water. On our third pot I believe. It is amazing how we/I take running water for granted. Normally, a person just runs a bit more hot water into the sink when the original water cools. But nooooooo! Not anymore. Everything takes SOOO much longer this way! But I am so thankful he is here to do some of the jobs that just tick me off since the water boil order. I guess slacking doesn’t make me a hero though.

I wonder how long I can milk the whole “having a huge baby makes me a hero” thing.

Yes.
Yes, it does. Having two crocks going absolutely makes you a hero. And having a baby (he is not huge; he is perfect) makes you a hero too! Any time soon, you’ll launch into SuperWoman mode and be ridiculous in all that you accomplish. Enjoy the lull before that happens!
