Well, we are officially in Brandon for a gathering of family to celebrate the life of my grandma. The trip went better than I thought it would, actually. It was not without its bumps and tantrums and frustration, but it was also filled with good music, funny new phrases from Dekker, and laughs. We took our time while making good time. And now we’re here, in a hotel room, trying to figure out how the layout is going to look. Dekker hasn’t slept with us in the same room since he was in a playpen, so this is not only his first night in a real bed, but also his first time having to maybe fall asleep while we’re in the room and still up. Should be interesting! Prayers would be welcomed, haha!
