The Daily Hailey

I realize that I sort of break the “daily” part of my blog when I post after midnight, but please consider it the way I do. I am sooo thrilled to have the friends I have! And I love when they come over and we chat so late into the night that it becomes the morning without us realizing it! So great! Loved having you over tonight, friends!

As for the day, it was totally relaxed. Dekker slept until one in the afternoon. I did a couple loads of dishes and accomplished little else. Dekker played downstairs so well and had a nice long nap. Brady finished the house he was working on earlier in the day and came home with the noodle bowl I’d been craving all week, and an iced coffee from McDonalds. I love that their iced coffee is part of their “Dollar Drinks” summer special. SUCH a good guilty pleasure!

So today really was wonderful. It ran smooth, I felt healthy all day, and Brady and I talked a lot about his new position as being the finisher for the new home builder. Its a really exciting time for us! Daytona Homes has been great to Brady so far, and today, they took him aside, told him how much they appreciated him, and gave us tickets to a game for the Memorial Cup (WHL). Brady’s never been to a Blades game, and I actually really love watching sports when I can go to in person! While I’m sure they gifted all the trades tickets, it felt so great to have them recognize my husband and actually voice their approval. We could not be more thrilled about the new things coming our way! God is good!
